Expert reports must comply with CPR Part 35
October 2009 saw the implementation of the 50th update to the Civil Procedure Rules. Part 35 was amended revising the expert’s statement of truth amongst other things. Obtaining a joint statement from experts can be a slow process. The end result may not comply with the requirements of CPR 35.
To standard and on time
I offer to work with the experts to ensure as far as possible that reports are prepared within any time scale laid down by court directions. I will also ensure that the requirements of Part 35 are addressed by the experts in particular those in Part 35.10 and the Practice Direction. I will act impartially with the objective of ensuring that questions posed by the parties are properly dealt with.
